About 70% of collage frames right now are black and 20% white so I was excited when I came across this one in espresso. It goes well with our decor and displays our pictures beautifully! I am using it to display my daughter's monthly portraits for her first year. I will say that it is not wood, but a really hard plastic made to look like wood. The backing is one piece with about 30 tabs you have to rotate just right to remove the backing to insert your pictures. A pain, but once completed, it looks nice! For the price it does just what I want.
